Cannot add new items

Hi! I'm currently thinking about purchasing this software and I am indeed of assistance. I've downloaded the trial version and I'm currently running the software on Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2. My problem is in connection with the inventory. I've been trying to add a menu item to the inventory and I've been getting a error that forbids me from doing this. When I click Add the error pops up and I click Ok and I'm back where I started on the Menu Items Screen. Unfortunatley I cant remember what the error says and I cant get in to the software because my trial period has expired. Does this error have to do with the licensing, meaning to I have to purchase it or do I just need to kick my computer in the butt? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

Most probably reason: you are using v2.2. See your Readme.txt in the installation folder. The latest version v2.2.1 had correction to this issue.
* Bug fixed: Error message was shown "Cannot convert Null to Boolean"
on Menu Items window during adding new menu items.

So you may purchase the software and it will work in version v2.2.1.
