program crash

Post by colby » Thu Dec 10, 2009 7:44 am

I have been using Abacre for about 3 weeks with no problems but today I tried opening program and received the following message.

"configuration file damaged..reinstall software"

Does this mean i will lose all of my sales history? Also I am unable to reinstall software because I have yet receive it.

Thanks,

Colby

It's possible to recover all your sales history.

Which version of software do you use? Go to folder:
C:\Program Files\Abacre Restaurant Point of Sale
and see Readme.txt file in this folder.
Version number is in the first line of Readme.txt file.

Sales history is located in database files
and configuration about restaurant's name, taxes, tips are located in default.cfg file.
The shown error message means that default.cfg file was damaged.
Therefore you can remove default.cfg file and replace it by new default.cfg file.
We will send you this file by email.

Roman,

I have replied to your message through hotmail and I have not rec'd a response. I am growing frustrated with the Abacre software, I have now been down over a week which is affecting my business drastically. I have asked for your support as well as a copy of the software that I have ordered. I am currently looking to expand from 1 station to 3, but I will not do this unless I am able to get 1 working properly.

You have asked me to send you a "my documents" file which does not exist. The only thing I have is Abacre in my "program files".

Please Help me get this corrected ASAP.

Thanks,

Abacre

In case if you don't have \My Documents\Abacre Restaurant Point of Sale 4\ folder
you have to install software again.
Because all database and configuration files are located in this folder.
It seems that someone removed this folder from your computer.

Roman,

This issue has still not been rectified. You have not responded to my emails. I still do not have a copy of the software I purchased, so I can not simply re-install software. I am asking once again for your help in this matter as it has caused major delays in our business.

I ask you again to please email me the software again as well as shipping me a hard copy. Please respond to my email asap.

Thanks,

Dave
