Q: What if i don't want to remotely connect to the server via FTP? What if I want to analysis the logs that I have already downloaded?

A:Well, if your log files already downloaded or if you're are running Advanced Log Analyzer directly on the same computer where your web server (IIS or Apache) is installed, then you really don't need to use Download button in ALA and download any files. On Sites tab for your site choose path to your log files on local disk and that's all. After that use only Analyze button on Main tab of the program.

In opposite case: if your log files located remotely, you are not obliged to use built-in FTP client of ALA. To download log files you can use any FTP client you want.
