IP filters question

Post by kgaebler »

Roman,

This is similar to the question asked by the last post.

Let's suppose that I want to see how the people from three specific ip addresses navigate through my site.

For purposes, of this exercise you can use these three IP addresses:

Visitor 12.2.177.130 came at 1/26/2005 4:53:15 PM
Visitor 12.215.181.212 came at 1/4/2005 7:48:53 PM
Visitor 129.132.210.46 came at 1/21/2005 8:11:20 AM

I know how to use your filters to exclude these IP addresses (using skip_line) but I cannot figure out how to use your filters to exclude every log entry EXCEPT for these three IP addresses.

What entries should I put in the websites.ini file to only see visitors to my site who came from 12.2.177.130, 12.215.181.212, or 129.132.210.46?

I want to see their entire path (entry, navigation, exit page). Thanks for any help you can provide.

Ken

Clarification

Post by kgaebler »

Just to clarify what I want...I am trying to see the navigation path of those who downloaded some software but not see the navigation of others who never download.

I tried putting this in reports.ini

type=visitor_path
name=Buyer path
footer=true
limit=200
sortby=time
filter=ip;included_in_file;C:\realips.txt

and I put the ips who downloaded in realips.txt but this did not work.

Hi,

You correctly defined the filter. But the problem is that it's not yet possible to use filters for report type=visitor_path
I am thinking to add it as a feature this or next week.
Kind regards,
