Modify Selected Gone?

Post by Mischa »

I use an older version of AFaR. I'm a registered user.

I'm trying to get some work done on my mother's computer (visiting for the holidays), so I downloaded the latest version of AFaR. It looks very nice, but I found on the replace page there's no option to modify selected. I have some bad links scattered over a bunch of files; the path in these links is like "C:\blahblah\yeppers". There are a variety of these, and all should start with X, to be "C:\blahblah\Xyeppers" or "C:\blahblah\Xfingers" etc..

So, if I was using the old version of AFaR is search "C:\blahblah\" and then when the list came up, I'd scroll through and look for where the X was missing, and select just those records and replace with "C:\blahblah\X" using the "modify selected" option.

However, when I run the search now, I get a prompt that says "file something.txt was found. do you want to process it?" Since I can't view the results, I don't know if I want to process this particular file or not.

Someone explain how to do this in the new version?
