I have a POS-X Cash Drawer tied in through a Tm-T88IV Parallel printer. I can't seem to get the drawer to open automatically when I close or print the order.
I just downloaded the Epson OPOS ADK (ver 2.5) utility and was finally able to see the correct printer available but I don't see any options within this utility to allow it to control the cash drawer as well.
Has anyone had experience with this setup?
How do I get my cash drawer to open after I print an order?
Re: How do I get my cash drawer to open after I print an order?
In ARPOS go to menu Configuration - Bill Configuration - Cash Drawer and Pole
select "after printing of the bill" value for "Open Cash Drawer" option.

Re: How do I get my cash drawer to open after I print an order?
I have done this and cannot get the application to work with the printer using the LDN created it for it in the Epson OPOS ADK Configuration tool. It looks correctly configured but when I do a test out of this utility, it errors out.
Someone from POSGuys sent me a link to an OLE OPOS Configuration Manager for the POS-X Cash Drawer which when I installed it, already has the Printer and Cash Drawer configured in it. Only problem is that I'm doing this on my laptop and not the actual PC that all of these peripherals are running on at the location. I'm doing this to try and get my friends system up and running but it's hard to test any of this during normal business hours since he's open and needs to have access to this PC.
Have you had experience with this utility instead of the Epson one?
BTW - The OS is Windows Vista
Thanks for your help Roman,
Jose

Re: How do I get my cash drawer to open after I print an order?
correction, the only reason I thought they were preconfigured was because these devices were configured under the Epson OPOS ADK utility. Once I deleted them from this, they did not show up.
