Schedualing ?

Post by mac »

Hello! I've just begun using ala and seem to be having a few problems.

For one. when I schedual my reports to be sent by email, it does not do it automaticly. I need to open ala so that tha analysing starts?

And when I am in the schedualing panel, when I click on an action (like emailing) on one spacific site all of the other sites get checked the same as that one and I end up getting all of the repports.

Can anyone tell me if this normal or if I'm doing something wrong?

Thanks
Mac

If you want to autotically send reports by email you should select "Send
by email" action for your scheduled task. The action "analyze site"
also should be checked. So first of all the program will analyze log
files and then it will send reports by email.
If you don't need to analyze logs (in case if they were already
analyzed) output path for each of your profiles should be different.

So in order to work the schedule, ALA should be always open (started).
We are going to add now possibility minimize to system tray and
autostart with windows options.

When you create a new scheduled task it created the task for "All
sites" by default. (We will correct it in the new version of the
program). So after you created the new scheduled task, it's better to
change "All sites" in profile box into name of your profile. Select it
from drop down list.
