Update to vs. 3

What has changed in vs. 3? I didn't find a description of the changes.
Has the fomat of the Access db or its password changed?
Are there any new features that require extra configuration (restaurant, bill data, etc)?
Is the vs. 2.x licence still valid for vs. 3?
