I was wondering if there was any way to have the program format the journal report to be printable on the bill printer (in my case, 58mm thermal printer)? Also, I was wondering if there was a way to run custom reporting (such as sales on an order by cashier / waitress)?

in current version you cannot print journal report on bill printer. we added it into to-do list as feature request.
we will provide possibility to do custom reported in one of upcoming versions.
