We currently use RePOS at our 6 bars and restaurants, and are considering updating to the newer version, but one question stands in the way. Our current RePOS systems use the the mdb Access databases, and we have many custom reports we use and deliver info to our account software.

While testing the newer version with the Firebird, we are unable to connect to the DB using the ODBC Firebird connection we assume due to a lack of the master account details..

I have seen other questions that allude to this, but I really have one question... When we purchase to upgrade, will we be given the master db password, and have the ability to direct query the DB thru ODBC, so we can maintain our custom report and data export requirements

Exactly. After purchase we will send you the master password for direct DB access. And you will be able to connect to database via ODBC drivers. So you will be able to produce custom reports, data exports etc.
