Hi Roman,
Im trying to evaluate your software with a Toshiba TRST A10 plugged in with USB cable on a touch screen system running windows xp & a new Optimas C4141 Cash Drawer. (purchased off ebay  )

I realise this is not really your issue but after spending a couple of days researching both over internet & with manuals Im a little stuck & was hoping for a couple of hints.

Do you think I should be using windows drivers or Opos Drivers? (have both)

Should I be able to see the printer in Printers in windows xp?

What port should I be using considering printer is plugged in via USB?

Should this priner & cash drawer work with the Abacre POS System?

Thanks for your time

Great News !!

Turns out printer was in Opos mode. Chnaged this over to windows, downloaded latest drivers & bingo. Working perfectly. Can see printer in printers, print test page successfully & prints perfectly in Abacre.

Now focus turns to cash drawer. Is it possible to use printer in windows mode when using the Optimas C4141 cash drawer pluged into the Toshiba Tec TRST A10?

If so, any idea what the open command is & what type it should be (hexidecmal, ANSI etc)

Thanks in advance

Todd

Thanks to my ebay supplier the command was 1B;70;00;19;FF in Hexidecimal format.

Was hoping for slightly faster response times from these forums.

After all, reasonable response times has a high weighting on the decision making process

The command is usually given in manual of the cash drawer. What's why we usually recommend cash drawers supporting OPOS drivers. In this case the command is not needed. Most of the cash drawers do not support OPOS drivers. So you should see their manual to find the command. It was nice that you contacted directly your supplier.
