Excluding Selected Paths...

I see how to exclude certain words from my search: -word.

I see how to exclude certain words in a filename: turn "search in filename" on, and include -word in my search.

I have not found the way to exclude from my search those subfolder-paths that contain certain "words."

That is:

a) my path is C:\foldername\firstsubfoldername

b)I would like to exclude from my search all files found in the subfolder

 C:\foldername\firstsubfoldername\secondsubfoldername\EXCLUDEthissubfolder , and either

   1) just that subfolder, or,

   2) that subfolder and all its subfolders

Thanks in advance...

Well I thought I knew how to exclude selected filenames.

I want to exclude all files whose filename starts with --> _tobay <-- and regardless of file extension.

I have tried including --> -_tobay*.* <-- in both masks (preceeded by a ; ) and in Search-Query (preceeded by a space and with "search in filename" selected).

Neither have worked.

Again, thanks in advance...

Normally it should work for Mask field. I will try to test it on
sample data.

As for folders, do you know that there is "Ignore folders" field in
Options - Advanced window?
