Replacing Into A Different Folder

I have a series of 50 different "master" word .doc templates. I want to find one word that is in all 50 templates (same word in all 50 .doc's) and replace that word with a different word. Here's the rub... I do not want to overwrite the "masters". Instead, I want a different destination. I want to write new files and have them all placed in a different or new folder. That way I can keep the "masters" un-altered. I do not see a way to accomplish this with Advanced Find and Replace Ver. 1.6.0.

Have I overlooked something or does this appware not do that?

Thank you.

Hi Ed,

We will add the feature in 3 weeks. I will send a post to the forum
then. It's very easy to implement.
For now you may set up some kind of batch script or backup (for
example, Abacre Backup) that may copy changed files into specific
location.

Did this feature ever get added? Sounds like just what I need. :)

Yes, it's added in v2.0. See main menu - Action - Options - Advanced.

I downloaded V2, and I see the text box on the Advanced Options dialog, but it doesn't work. When I exit AFR and restart, the Destination Folder field is no longer populated either. And it's not saved in the .CFG file, and I can't seem to find it in the registry either. Is there a piece I'm missing?

Paul August

Is this functionality available ?

I got version 2.3 from your site and it does not have the ability to replace into a different folder AND/OR send the backup to a specified folder.

Pls let me know what is missing that I should download ?

We are releasing Advanced Find and Replace v3.0 at the end of
September. This functionality will be available in this version.
(Note: we remove from the forum mentions of any other products).
