Can Cyclic Replace do this?

Post by ezinestein »

Hello,

Can cyclic replace work with multiple files?

Let's say I have 100 text files and the last line of each file reads 'someword'. Can I prepare a (cyclic replace) text file with 100 different words listed... and then run cylclic replace on the 100 original files so that each file will now have 'someword' replaced with an original word from the (cyclic replace) file that I created?

Like this...

file 1 has 'someword' at bottom.
file 2 has 'someword' at bottom.
etc...

I create text file cyclic.txt and put this in it:

'First Words'
'Second Words'
etc...

I would like to run cyclic replace and get this result:

file 1 has 'First Words'
file 2 has 'Second Words'
etc...

Can that be done? :)

Kindly,
Ezinestein
