I found Abacre by doing a google search for "PDF editor" and Search, replace, batch update, etc. The advertisement suggests that the search function works in PDF files, but does the replace function do so as well? I need to do a mass update of hundreds of PDF datasheets.

I found at:

As it was stated advertisement message: the program can only to search in PDF files.
But it can't replace text in PDF files.
It's a challenge for us to make replace in PDF files and we are
working on it.
Currently we use Adobe ActiveX for search but it's quite slow so we
will re-consider to use other means to search.
