I would like to change a directory of files with Western (Mac OS Roman) Windows (CRLF) to Unicode (UTF-8) an Unix (LF). Can AFR do this?
Thanks,
Linda

Re: Paragraph or CR
BTW are you sure that these are CR chars? No, I am not sure. I just know that in both Word and OpenOffice when I have them show non-printable characters that a "P" or rather the symbol for a paragraph is shown. I will do as you suggest and check a sample and follow your other directions as well. Th...

Paragraph or CR
I have a group of .txt documents that were written a long, long time ago. At the time, the writer used a CR at the end of a line to "format" the document. I can see these non-printable characters as a paragraph designation in Open Office or in Microsoft Word. I want to delete all of these but in AFR...

Re: Insert file contents into another file
AFR truly is an amazing app that saves days of work. Just wish that it was available for the Mac.

AFR "like" app for the Mac
Has anyone found anything similar to AFR for the Mac? I need to replace everything in a folder of documents before a given string. In the past, I have had a Windows computer and AFR was great for me. Now I have a Mac and miss AFR.

Re: AFR 3 on Vista as a User
Roman,
I too am having this problem. I can of course find the file. I am the only one that uses this computer and AFR. So, I would like to change the cfg file so that settings are remembered between my uses of AFR. Which line needs to be changed and what does it need to read?

Add at the end of all files
Is there a way to add something to the end of all files in a folder?
For instance, there are a lot of HTML files that are generated that do not have closure tags like "</body></html>" and I want to add this to all of the files in a folder.
Thank you,
Linda

Re: Less than or equal, Plus or minus, Greater than or Equal
Maybe I was not specific enough. How can I search through Word documents for the symbols < > + that are underlined so that they symbolize less than or equal to, greater than or equal to, or plus or minus? In HTML it would be <u>+</u> but I don't know how to specify a search to include Word documents...

Less than or equal, Plus or minus, Greater than or Equal
I have a lot of Word documents that have the Less than or equal, Plus or minus, Greater than or Equal symbols that cannot be shown as symbols in this forum. I also try to copy/paste the symbols in Word into the search of AFR but it will not display there. I would like to change them to </= or >/= or...
