Please check if you path depth is bigger than 255 characters, if so please report the real problem. Windows supports now PATHs of 2048 characters (4K if unicode)

I'm also interested about this issue. I think AFR must be able to find Unicode text in various encodings so it should be an option to search text files without BOM as ANSI and/or UTF-8. I have some Unicode files using BOM with header 0xFEFF and AFR is failing to find any text inside them. On Windows 7 x64 when you exit the application you get an error from the Program Compatibility Assistant.
